Family Dentistry & Preventative Dentistry
Dr. Gehrig and his experienced staff provide a wide range of dental treatment and services for patients 3 years and up. We offer cosmetic, restorative, root canal, periodontal, TMJ, dental surgery including extractions, dentures, partials, implant restoration and mini implants. Dr. Gehrig is experienced in dental sedation including nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and conscious sedation. For patients needing general anesthesia, Dr. Gehrig has privileges at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and Heart Institute. We also provide care for individuals with Special Needs. Patients with mental, physical and medical challenges are accommodated either in our handicap accessible office or the hospital.
All patients are treated confidentially and comprehensively. Except for emergencies, all patients will become part of our dental family with a thorough comprehensive exam that includes panoramic and digital radiographs, head and neck exam, occlusion (bite) and TMJ (jaw joint) analysis, periodontal (gum) exam, cosmetic analysis, medical review of existing conditions and medications and finally the examination of the existing teeth, restorations and appliances. A detailed treatment plan will be formulated with all recommended treatment listed in order of priority. The Treatment Plan is created in consultation with the patient considering the individuals dental needs, personal preferences, medical condition and budget. Modern dentistry can provide many different options to correct dental problems and the treatment selected is individualized for each patient.

Restorative:
Composite Restorations (“tooth colored fillings”)
Crowns: All Porcelain Crowns, Porcelain Fused to Gold Crowns; Gold Crowns
Fixed Bridges: All Porcelain Bridges; Porcelain Fused to Gold Bridges; Bonded Bridges
Restoration of Implants: Crowns, Bridges and Implant Retained Removable Dentures
Endodontics (Root Canals):
Dr. Gehrig performs anterior and most premolar root canals. He does refer to highly qualified specialists most molar and re-treatment procedures.
Oral Surgery:
Implant Retainted Dentures & Partials
Dr. Gehrig performs most dental extractions including third molars (wisdom teeth). He also does
other minor surgeries including biopsies of soft tissue and preparation for dentures including mini implants . Complex oral surgery will be referred to highly qualified specialists.
Periodontics (gums):
Routine periodontal maintenance (cleanings), Soft Tissue Management (deep cleanings), Minor gingival surgery. Dr. Gehrig refers more advanced periodontal problems to highly qualified specialists.
Cosmetic:
Bonding, Bleaching; Night Guard (at home) bleaching, Veneers, Minor Orthodontics, Replacement of silver fillings
Temporal-Mandibular-Joint (TMJ):
Occlusal guards, bite adjustments. Treatment can be coordinated with Oral Surgeons, Neurologists, Orthodontists, and Chiropractors.
Dentures and Partials:
Complete dentures, Immediate dentures, Partial dentures, Implant Retained Dentures and Partials
Sedation and General Anesthesia:
Nitrous Oxide; Conscious sedation; General Anesthesia as a hospital outpatient
Special Needs:
Mentally Challenged, Medically Compromised; Alzheimer’s Disease, Dementia; Physically Challenged
When necessary, nursing home, hospital consultations can be accommodated.
Payment for services is expected at the time of treatment. We accept most credit cards and personal checks. Payment options include financing for qualified individuals arraigned in advance. We will file your insurance for you and most reimbursement is paid by your insurance company to you within thirty days.
