Routine periodontal maintenance, including exams and cleanings, prevents gum disease. Even with healthy teeth, some people may experience damage to their gums around the roots of the teeth over the years without periodic examinations. Gum disease can loosen teeth and eventually cause them to fall out. Routine treatment prevents the potential progression of gum disease. Along with periodontal exams, Dr. Gehrig offers deep cleanings of soft tissue and minor surgery to prevent gingivitis, an inflammation of the gums around the roots of the teeth. For advanced periodontal issues, you will be referred to highly qualified specialists.
Treasure Coast patients with temporal mandibular joint disorder, also known as TMJ, can find relief and reduction of symptoms with treatment at Dr. Gehrig’s office. Services include occlusal or molar guards and bite adjustments in coordination with oral surgeons, neurologists, orthodontists and chiropractors.
Cosmetic treatment offered through general dentistry includes bonding, bleaching, night guards,
veneers, minor orthodontics and replacement of silver fillings. The techniques are done in a relaxed environment to make patients as comfortable as possible. Sedation and general anesthesia are available. Dr. Gehrig has privileges at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and Heart Institute.
The care and treatment offered by Dr. Gehrig and his staff provide you and your family with long-term dental health.
